Westman Atelier is on of my favorite clean beauty brands. And I love anything dewy. Even though I have combination skin I love glowy products. There is just something so very youthful about these dewy products. So when I heard Westman Atelier was coming out with their Vital Skincare Dewy Foundation Drops I decided to splurge and get some glow for myself.
The Nordstrom website says that this is “A complexion-boosting formula in drops form for breathable coverage and radiance while improving bare-skin quality.”
Packaging Of The Westman Atelier Vital Skincare Dewy Foundation Drops
The bottle is a beautiful shade of pinkish cream of some sort. Honestly, it looks cream in the pictures but I swear I see some pink tones there as well. It comes with a screw on cap. Love the Westman Atelier classy packaging.
Formula Of The Westman Atelier Vital Skincare Dewy Foundation Drops
According to the Nordstrom website these “Complexion-boosting drops made with potent skincare instantly hydrate and even tone while improving texture, firmness and radiance over time. Glides on like a lightweight oil and transforms into a cushiony serum for dewy, facial-fresh skin long after it’s washed off.”
Highlighted ingredients include :-

- Ginseng Extract: Visibly brightens, revitalizes, and soothes
- Pomegranate Extract: Neutralizes free radicals and supports healthy-looking skin
Westman Atelier Vital Skincare Dewy Foundation Drops are vegan, gluten-free, and also cruelty-free. Coverage provided is light to medium and finish is radiant.
Shades Of The Westman Atelier Vital Skincare Dewy Foundation Drops
Currently these drops are available in 20 shades. I use the shade Atelier V in the Vital Skin Full Coverage Foundation and Concealer Stick. So I wanted to buy shade V in this formula too. But shade V is out of stock everywhere, and it has been unavailable for a really long time. So I went to my local Nordstrom, and they were kind enough to give me shade IV and VI to try out. I tried out both the shades for a few days and realized I can wear shade IV comfortably. So I went ahead and ordered shade IV in the Westman Atelier Vital Skincare Dewy Foundation Drops.
My Experience
As I mentioned before I have combination skin. As I age, I like creamy, dewy products more than matte products. These Westman Atelier Vital Skincare Dewy Foundation Drops are very hydrating. The texture is very thin and lightweight. I feel this is more of a skin tint than a foundation. This gives me very light coverage but yet evens out my skin. However, I think people with oily skin might not enjoy this as much as someone with drier skin. We experience very harsh winters and this is perfect for me during the winter.
I set this with a setting power and a setting spray, if I want my makeup to last longer. If you are looking for a full coverage foundation or have oily skin, this might not be for you. It also has a smell, which to me is the smell of some natural oil in the formula. It does not bother me, but if you are sensitive to smells, I recommend you try it out first.
Additionally if I want more coverage, I like to use it with the Vital Skin Full Coverage Foundation and Concealer Stick.
Pros
- Radiant, dewy finish
- Clean, vegan and also cruelty-free
Cons
- Expensive
- Not for oily skin, in my opinion
