What I’ve Had Done
Here’s the truth: Injectables, treatments, and cosmetic procedures are wildly popular and often very effective. Another truth? We’re tired of the stigma attached to “getting something done” and exhausted with the notion we’re supposed to keep it secret. With our newest series, What I’ve Had Done, we’re laying out the details about our injectable routines, favorite lasers, and any nips or tucks we’ve tried. Then, we’re asking celebrities, founders, and influencers the same questions. No judgment, no shame—just helpful recommendations and honest information. Let’s get into it.
Everything I’ve learned about aesthetics, I learned from Lisa Vanderpump. Actually… that’s not entirely true. But I was taking a class called Aesthetics & Valuation of Art at the same time I was watching Vanderpump Rules for the first time, and they 100% informed my understanding of one another. And really, that makes sense! Lisa Vanderpump knows aesthetics better than anyone. Her signature, sexy, pink-and-fresh-flowers-forward style is beloved in the Bravosphere and beyond, and she’s infused it into every facet of her (very public) being.
In December, Vanderpump opened her latest restaurant: Pinky’s by Vanderpump. Holding court at The Flamingo Las Vegas, the art deco-inspired space is her latest collaboration with Caesars Entertainment—and a huge testament to her talent for crafting gorgeous places where gorgeous people go to gather.
If you’re wondering what the principles of beauty and restaurants have to do with each other, the answer is… everything. Think about how you might get ready for a nice dinner, basing your glam on where your reservation is and whatever might come after.
“I’m a great believer in your home being a sanctuary and creating beautiful spaces. I think it dictates how you feel. I really do believe that,” she tells Byrdie at the Pinky’s opening. “I’ve had 40 restaurants now, and I believe the ambience is so important.”
“My inspiration here was the feel-good background and nod to a bygone era, where everything was more beautiful and everything was more glamorous. I don’t like minimalist design—I mean, I still like some minimalist design—but I like elegance and gorgeousness. I think people relate to that. I think people step up to [their best look] when they see a beautiful space.”
As Vanderpump shares her restaurant aesthetic work with visitors from around the world in Vegas and West Hollywood, helping them feel beautiful, she’s also happy to share the cosmetic aesthetic work she’s had done. Ahead, she discusses the injections she gets, the surgery she’d try, and how exactly it’s all connected.
What’s Currently In My Face
“I’ll tell you everything. I’m very honest with that. [Cosmetic dermatologist] Simon Ourian is the only person I trust with my face. I have recommended a lot of my friends (even celebrity friends) to him.
“I’ve had skin tightening on my upper eyes, I have had Simon do laser treatments, I use a bucket of Botox and a small amount of fillers.
“I do Botox, but not too much where it’s frozen, because I don’t like that. I do a little filler. But he’s very, very clever, Simon Ourian. He might put a little bit in your hairline, rather than the whole front-face thing. If it looks like it’s been done, I don’t want to do it.”
The Cosmetic Treatment That’s Made the Biggest Diffrence
“Simon Ourian’s laser treatment—he’s a genius! His lasers and creams are fantastic. I can’t afford much downtime and his lasers need barely any recovery.
“I’ve done laser a couple of times on my face—I think twice. But not deep, because I would only have a day downtime and then it would peel. So that’s been really good
“When people say, ‘Oh, what’s your skincare regime?’ I have to say, I’ve had two facials in my life. I’m not somebody that hangs around and spends a lot of time [on treatments]. I’ve had probably one manicure since COVID. I just do my own—I’m in too much of a hurry.”

The Treatment I’m Considering
“I am not a big advocate of surgery. That’s only because—I’m not saying I’ll never do it—but I’m a little scared of that bruising and downtime.
“I don’t know that I would like to have scars here [on the side of the face]. If I could do something where it was just a little tighter and they could do it on the back of the neck… I don’t know. I think I’ll just go with what I have right now.”
My Best Anti-Aging Advice
“Never put your face in the sun. Ever, ever, ever. Even though it looks good when you’re in Ibiza or something, forget it. Don’t do it. It’s not worth it. I see the difference between my face and my chest, and I realized, you know, my skin on my face has never seen the light of day.
“The best thing is to marry someone who’s older than you and you’ll always be young to them. When their eyesight’s going, it’s a bonus!”

My Advice For Someone Considering Cosmetic Treatments
“I don’t think there should be any stigma if you’re going to undergo something that will make you feel better about yourself and make you happy. However, I would make sure that the person you trust with your face is someone who will enhance your looks rather than change them.
“I think times have changed and you can do so much with fillers, Botox, and laser treatments, conservatively. I would think carefully before undergoing any surgery.”

My Daily Routine
“I get ready every day. Unless it’s a Sunday when I put my hair in a clip. And then my husband literally doesn’t recognize me. My FaceID doesn’t work, actually. I try to open my bank account and they’re like, ‘No.’
“For two months I was doing Gordon Ramsey’s show in Milan. He was like, ‘F–king hell, I can’t believe you’re so easy. You’re so low maintenance.’ I just get it done! I wake up because I like to wash my hair every day; it’s not good for you. I know, but I like the clean feeling. It takes me 45 minutes to an hour now, top to toe.”
The Products I’m Loving
“I use a Retin-A. Dr. Ourian has a really good cream that I put on my face every day. I put my own makeup on. I have a makeup artist for big events or to look through the camera, or to pass me lip gloss, [but otherwise] I do my own makeup. I use [YSL] All Hours as a foundation, a Chanel blush, an Hourglass lip gloss and lip pencil, Revlon pink lipstick, Lancôme mascara and a palette for my eyes.”
